Patented technology for pressure ulcer prevention

Von Schele Solutions is developing patented technology for integration into nursing and hospital beds. The concept introduces active and continuous movement into the lying surface and is intended to support pressure redistribution and gentle tissue stimulation.

What is a pressure ulcer?

A pressure ulcer, also known as a decubitus ulcer or bedsore, is localized damage to the skin and underlying tissue associated with prolonged pressure or pressure combined with shear. It most commonly affects people with limited mobility and often develops over bony areas such as the heels or sacrum.

Prevention requires an individual and comprehensive approach, including risk assessment, regular skin checks, pressure relief, mobility support, hydration and nutrition. Our technology is being developed as a potential complement to established preventive care.

Development status

We are currently in the development phase. Our next central milestone is a functional prototype that demonstrates the technical feasibility and operating principle and provides the basis for subsequent validation.

Industry partnership

We are seeking an experienced partner from the nursing or hospital bed industry to support the development and manufacture of the first prototype. Following successful development and validation, our long-term goal is to integrate the technology into established bed systems through industry partnerships.
